Hi! I’m Jared. I’m a writer, director, and producer based out of Los Angeles. I’ve directed 1 feature film, 3 micro-dramas, 4 short films, and 30 commercials, produced over 100+ hours of content, and written 8 feature-length screenplays.
At just 16, I traveled from New York to Los Angeles to take graduate-level classes at the USC School of Cinematic Arts before studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. While at NYU, I learned from Oscar-nominated professors and assisted on award-winning films, such as Sicario and Demolition, learning from masters Jean-Marc Vallée and Denis Villeneuve.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, I launched my own production company, JDG Entertainment, quickly taking on various freelance projects while I raised funding for my first feature film, The Sound of the Wind, an ultra-low-budget thriller that explored the struggles of mental illness.
Upon completion of the film, I oversaw its marketing, publicity, and release, securing a theatrical release. The film opened to critical praise and audience support, extending the film’s run during the height of the pandemic. I also launched NoGood Theater, a pandemic community for creatives that grew to over 5,000 members.
After The Sound of The Wind, I launched Particle | New York, the commercial division of JDG Entertainment. It leveraged the skills and expertise I had gained from The Sound of The Wind to create content for brands, eventually directing and producing national campaigns for major companies, such as P&G, Mattel, Brooklinen, and Jared Jewelers. While doing this, I also created multiple micro-drama series that have since garnered millions of views, and wrote multiple feature films, including Sodium Vapor and Coyoacan.
Currently, I am in pre-production on my next feature film, and continue to write, produce, and direct through JDG Entertainment. For more information, you can follow the latest updates here.
